Orlando Health, a healthcare services provider in Central Florida, and Walgreens, a US-based drug retailing chain, have partnered to provide integrated and expanded healthcare services to patients throughout Central Florida at convenient locations and affordable rates.

As part of the collaboration, 13 healthcare clinics at select Walgreens in nearby cities like Orlando, Kissimmee, Apopka, Winter Springs, Clermont, Lake Buena Vista, Lake Mary, Winter Park and Windermere, Florida have been shortlisted to offer the services.

The collaboration will focus on convenience and affordability and will operate healthcare clinics at Walgreens during evenings and weekends, with online appointment-scheduling facilities.

It will facilitate communication between Orlando Health physicians and healthcare clinic nurses to effectively share patient information and enhance patient awareness of Orlando Health and Healthcare Clinic services.

Additionally, healthcare clinic facilities for chronic and preventive disorders will be provided to Orlando Health patients.

The collaboration is aimed at delivering superior medical care by providing customised and quality healthcare services.

Walgreens plans to utilise its extensive chain of popular retail outlets to enhance medical care and improve patient care services.

It believes that its diverse healthcare portfolio will help deliver superior patient care services by providing timely services to patients.

The partnership may later be expanded to sharing electronic medical records to provide read-only access for real-time medical data of patients.
