Edward Hospital & Health Services in Naperville, Illinois, US, has selected Levi, Ray & Shoup (LRS) VPSX output management technology, as part of its Epic rollout.
The healthcare provider, which employs more than 1,300 nurses and 1,000 physicians, implemented LRS software for print management and healthcare document delivery from the hospital’s Epic applications.
Edward Hospital CIO Bobbie Byrne said, "We needed an integrated system that provided seamless delivery of Epic-generated documents, thus ensuring an uninterrupted continuum of care to the communities we serve. LRS worked with our IT personnel to make it happen."
To manage output from the Epic application, the LRS solution offers delivery of key documents in addition to a desktop interface to over 1,400 printers throughout the hospital and its affiliate care centres in the Chicago area.
The VPSX solution is designed to eliminate the need for multiple, redundant printing systems, increase business user and help desk productivity and reduce the cost of printing.
LRS product marketing and sales senior vice president John Howerter praised Edward Hospital as an outstanding healthcare provider.
"We look forward to helping them address their healthcare document challenges for years to come," he added.
