Mercy Health, a six-hospital health system in Cincinnati, Ohio, US, has selected Sound Physicians to provide hospitalist services for its Mt. Airy Hospital.

As part of the contract, Sound Physicians will provide comprehensive hospitalist services to Mt. Airy Hospital, and help the hospital to improve the quality, satisfaction and financial performance of inpatient healthcare delivery.

Sound Physicians CEO Robert Bessler said the organisation is pleased to play an expanded role in serving patients and community providers with its partner, Mercy Health.

Sound Physicians already serves patients and community providers at three other Mercy Health centres, including Mercy Health – Anderson Hospital, Western Hills Hospital and The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health.

Sound Physicians, which has been part of Mercy Health since 2011, serves more than 100 hospitalist physicians, nurses and mid-level providers in Ohio and more than 500 hospitalist and post-acute physicians across the US.
