Post Acute Medical, a healthcare company based in Pennsylvania, US, has unveiled plans to construct a new hospital to offer rehabilitation and long-term acute care in Victoria, Texas.
Funding for the new 33,248ft² Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital has closed and the construction is expected to commence shortly, adjacent to the existing Specialty Hospital.
Post Acute Medical president and CEO Anthony Misitano said the new facility will add to the rehabilitation hospital growth for the company, adding to the three rehabilitation hospitals currently operating in the San Antonio area.
"Post Acute Medical also operates LTACHs in New Braunfels, Texas; Luling, Texas; Victoria, Texas; and Covington, Louisiana," Misitano added.
The new 26-bed freestanding hospital is scheduled to be completed by the second quarter of 2013.
It will facilitate inpatient rehabilitation, long-term acute care (LTACH) with a high observation unit, wound care (inpatient and outpatient) and outpatient rehabilitation services.
