Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) of Atlanta has signed an agreement with Aetna, thereby making it a contracted provider for a period of three years.
Beginning this month, several Aetna commercial members can now choose CTCA Atlanta as an in-network facility for their cancer care.

CTCA president and CEO Pat A Basu said: “Our new agreement with Aetna in Georgia reflects CTCA’s dedication to provide greater patient access to our exceptional physicians, high quality services and value-based, patient-centered cancer care.
“We thank Aetna for their partnership, and we look forward to growing this relationship nationwide.”
This deal adds to the contracts that are currently in place with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia and Cigna.
The latest deal also enables CTCA to widen its footprint with regard to in-network care delivery for those patients and families that require expert cancer care.

By GlobalDataCTCA vice president of access Craig Schwamm said: “Patients want and deserve choice and options in health care, and certainly when making decisions about cancer care. “The addition of Aetna as a contracted insurance provider will allow Aetna enrollees access to the clinical care and patient empowerment that are hallmarks of CTCA.”
Cancer Treatment Centers of America Global is a cancer care network of hospitals and outpatient care centres in Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Tulsa.
