US-based healthcare services company Ensign Group has acquired healthcare and nursing facilities across various US states.

All the acquisitions were made through separate transactions and are effective from 1 May.

They include a mix of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, with the real estate of certain properties being acquired by a subsidiary of Ensign’s captive real estate company, Standard Bearer Healthcare REIT.

The financial details of these acquisitions have not been shared.

The expansion brings Ensign’s total operations to 310 healthcare facilities, including 29 senior living operations, across 14 US states.

The acquired facilities will be operated by an Ensign-affiliated operator.
