Indonesia-based digital healthcare ecosystem platform Halodoc has completed a Series D funding round of an undisclosed value to provide quality healthcare in the country.

The investment is expected to accelerate the company’s mission to provide accessible, reliable, and quality healthcare to more people.

Led by PT Astra International Tbk (Astra) through its subsidiary, PT Astra Digital Internasional, the funding round was supported by Openspace and Novo Holdings.

Astra president director Djony Bunarto Tjondro said: “High demand for access to quality healthcare services has boosted the increasing adoption of digital technology in healthcare.

“This is also supported by the government’s efforts to advance the healthcare sector in the country.

“We hope that Astra’s investment in Halodoc can accelerate the transformation of health services in Indonesia which are increasingly innovative, accessible and providing quality service.”

Furthermore, Halodoc continues to develop and expand with different services to provide people access to healthcare services easily.

These services include the Home Lab preventive healthcare service for users to carry out health tests from the comfort of their homes safely and conveniently.

Integrated with insurance partners, the My Insurance service gives users access to the benefits of cashless outpatient services.

Halodoc is also working with the government for advancing technological innovation in the healthcare industry through the Regulatory Sandbox implemented by the Ministry of Health (MoH) of the Republic of Indonesia.

This Regulatory Sandbox is aimed at facilitating digital health innovation (IDK) organisers such as Halodoc.
