Kontakt.io has introduced a new solution for continuous temperature and humidity monitoring in hospitals.

This system is designed to ensure the integrity of temperature-sensitive materials including vaccines and medications, which can be compromised by even short periods of exposure to inappropriate temperatures.

The solution monitors the temperature of warmers, refrigerators and regulated rooms that store these materials.

It features a design with monitors that allow hospital staff to quickly assess temperature ranges.

Probes feed data to a cloud-based dashboard, offering abilities for immediate alerts and reporting.

Hospitals must comply with the stringent vaccine storage and handling guidelines set by the US CDC’s Vaccines for Children programme, as it simplifies periodic audits and reporting.

Automating temperature tracking and providing round-the-clock, real-time alerts, healthcare facilities can swiftly respond to any temperature deviations.

This reduces the risk of spoilage, minimises waste, and protects valuable resources that are often expensive and difficult to obtain.

The temperature monitoring solution is a component of Kontakt.io’s Intelligent Orchestration, which allows hospitals to combine it with their asset tracking solution for data management on a single platform.

Kontakt.io chief revenue officer Rom Eizenberg said: “Our new Temperature Monitoring solution underscores Kontakt.io’s commitment to improving hospital operational efficiency and patient care.

“With proactive monitoring and real-time alerts, hospitals can significantly reduce risk, minimise waste, and enhance patient safety, while adhering to regulatory requirements.”

This integration is part of the broader Responsive Care Operations platform, which combines operational data with electronic health records (EHR) into a unified system.

Used as a managed service, the platform leverages AI-driven RTLS to convert operational data into actionable insights, automation, and immediate decision support.

Last October, Kontakt.io introduced two mobile applications aimed at improving hospital operations.
