The hospital is planning to expand its surgical capability with new procedures such as trans catheter aortic valve implantation and complex heart structural interventions.

Saint Thomas Hospital president and CEO Dawn Rudolph said, "As a highly recognised leader in cardiac care, it was a logical advancement to obtain the most sophisticated and current technology in health care to match the talents and skills of our physicians."

Saint Thomas Health’s regional health system consists of five hospitals and a network of affiliated joint ventures in diagnostics, cardiac services, ambulatory surgery, medical practices, clinics and rehabilitation facilities.
