New Zealand’s Shore Surgery Specialist Day Hospital, a part of Evolution Healthcare, has enhanced its endoscopy documentation process by implementing Provation.
Provation integrates procedure images, standardises reports and enables advanced audit capabilities, thereby saving time per case.
Provation president Ankush Kaul said: “We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Evolution Healthcare.
“Shore Surgery’s rapid go-live and strong user satisfaction exemplify how purpose-built documentation software accelerates quality improvement for private day hospitals across New Zealand.”
Shore Surgery has two operating theatres and a five-bed recovery suite, as well as a range of procedures, including gastroenterology, endoscopy, and gynaecology.
The facility undertakes benchmarking efforts via various national and international quality programmes, which enhance health outcomes and promote a culture of excellence.

By GlobalDataBefore the adoption of Provation, Shore Surgery’s endoscopy team faced challenges with its reporting workflow, which was described as cumbersome and limited in audit capabilities.
The previous system involved manually created templates and separate processes for photo printing or dictation that needed transcription.
With Provation, the hospital now benefits from streamlined documentation with intelligent drop-down selections and integrated images, and enhanced clinical audit capabilities that support Evolution Healthcare’s quality management framework and programme.
Additionally, immediate report delivery bolsters patient management systems and consulting rooms.
Shore Surgery is the fourth site within the Evolution Healthcare network to implement Provation.
