It will feature cath labs, a comprehensive women’s health centre with delivery and labour units, children’s services, dialysis, emergency department, full inpatient and outpatient imaging, an ICU, oncology services, and surgical suites.

The facility’s construction will start in 2027 and is set for completion by 2030.

Sanford Health’s partnership with Denny Sanford began in 2004 and has extended to almost $2bn in total support.

Notably, his $650m donation in 2021 launched a virtual care initiative for linking technology and clinicians with communities in the upper Midwest, while also strengthening rural medical education.
