The move is part of SportsMed’s strategy to enhance its offerings in physical therapy and related services in the New Jersey and Connecticut regions. 

The newly acquired Ridgewood site offers a comprehensive range of services, including physical therapy, occupational and hand therapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, pelvic floor physical therapy, and home care.

Following its partnership with Hildred Capital Management in 2018, SportsMed has grown, expanding from seven to 49 locations.  

SportsMed plans to continue its focus on improving patient outcomes through movement and recovery. 

It is a portfolio company of Hildred Capital Management, a New York-based healthcare investor specialising in the lower middle market.  

The legal counsel for the Ridgewood acquisition was provided by Holland and Knight. 

Founded in 2004, SportsMed operates as a multi-disciplinary physical therapy provider.  

Its 49 clinics across New Jersey and Connecticut offer outpatient rehabilitation and wellness services, including physical therapy, occupational and hand therapy, chiropractic care, and acupuncture.
