Additionally, Tampa General’s TGH Ventures has invested in Reimagine Care.

By integrating Reimagine Care’s AI-enabled programme into Tampa General’s clinical pathways, the collaboration will support the Institute’s strategy to enhance cancer services while meeting the growing demand in Florida.

The partnership also reduces workforce strain, hospitalisations and avoidable emergency department visits, and improves care continuity by strengthening oncology operations.

For oncologists, this model alleviates the administrative responsibilities that are linked to after-hours symptom management, documentation and triage.

Physicians will be able to dedicate more of their time to patient care directly, which encompasses diagnosis, planning of treatment and clinical research.

The collaboration is expected to expand patient capacity for the TGH Cancer Institute and support quality metrics.

Tampa General innovation vice-president and TGH Ventures managing director Rachel Feinman said: “Our partnership with Reimagine Care underscores the importance of thoughtfully leveraging venture capital to help drive innovation within a health system like ours.

“By identifying organisations like Reimagine Care whose business models strategically align with our mission and investing in their growth, we are able to expand our capabilities to deliver the most advanced, specialised care to all patients – even those managing complex conditions such as cancer.”

Tampa General and Reimagine Care will utilise a hybrid care approach that combines in-person treatment with virtual support and remote monitoring.

This model is aimed at minimising avoidable crises and prioritising patient-centred management.
