The addition of TAO Connect helps UpLift expand its services to more than 170 enterprise customers across the US and Canada. This will cover over four million individuals, including more than two million students at nearly 120 higher education institutions.
Following the acquisition, the companies have created a new behavioural health programme, ‘TAO by UpLift’, which offers a comprehensive mental healthcare solution to higher education students.
This programme ensures continuity of care while complementing existing counselling services at educational institutions, all of which are covered by insurance.
The companies have already started implementing TAO by UpLift programme across higher education institutions in the US, including some two and four-year public and private schools and community colleges, graduate schools, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

By GlobalDataUpLift, established in partnership with Redesign Health, offers a full spectrum of care services, addressing preventative measures and severe mental illness treatment across various conditions, locations, and age groups.
It provides an equitable experience to students with round-the-clock access to care, personalised provider recommendations and treatment options.
Students can also track their progress through integrated measurement-based clinical assessments.
The integrated behavioural health platform offered by Uplift facilitates patient-provider matching based on clinical and non-clinical needs, ensuring rapid access to therapy and psychiatry services through a national network of nearly 2,000 licensed providers.
UpLift CEO and founder Kyle Talcott said: “With TAO, we are already on the ground with preventative, self-guided tools and resources, and are now expanding our offerings to complement counselling centres with therapy and psychiatry to care for students when, where, and how they need it.
“At the same time, we are able to leverage our insurance model to lower costs for higher-ed customers and remove the caps on care that are all too commonly placed by existing solutions.”
