The hospital is planned to house around 600 beds, most of which will be single rooms.
The campus will initially have 200 beds, with plans to increase this to 500 beds in the future.
The new system will unify patient records across St Vincent's ten private hospitals and provide a single EMR platform.
Richard Crookes Constructions has been selected as the main works contractor for the project.
The new smaller-scale, modern campus will offer 24/7 access to emergency and inpatient care.
Construction of the new rehabilitation hospital is expected to begin in 2025, with the opening projected for 2026.
The updated budget, which earlier was €1.73bn, includes provisions for design, construction, and equipping costs of €1.88bn.
The centre is set to enhance patient care in the region and drive national health research.
