AdventHealth Winter Park has opened a new patient-centred facility, which will offer a wide range of oncology services in a single location.
The new AdventHealth Cancer Institute Winter Park provides services including medical oncology and haematology, a 17-bay infusion centre and radiation oncology.
The facility is complete with technology such as radiation oncology machine Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator, which is capable of delivering precise external beam radiation therapy.
It leverages features like 4D imaging, arc treatment delivery and respiratory motion management.
The facility provides patients access to blood transfusions, chemotherapy, and cooling cap therapy closer to home, for the Central Florida community.
These offerings are supported by a team of nurse practitioners, registered nurses and pharmacists.

The infusion centre offers recliners for patients, personal TVs, stations for nourishment and a private room.
Moreover, patients at this facility have access to Eden Boutique, which offers specialised services and products designed to support individuals dealing with conditions like hair loss, lymphedema, and mastectomy.

The AdventHealth Cancer Institute Winter Park provides a variety of outpatient services. These encompass therapeutic phlebotomy, central-line care and blood specimen collection.
Additionally, patients have access to support services like financial advocacy and assistance with scheduling.
