Brightline has opened its in-person clinic for children’s mental health support in Brooklyn, New York, US.

The branch is the first in a planned series of clinic openings across New York set to launch soon.

The brick-and-mortar clinic will deliver care through both face-to-face sessions and remote appointments under a combined service model to broaden service availability and support more flexible delivery.

Brightline is also working with health insurers to include services within the standard network.

The clinics will host specialist child psychologists, therapists and psychiatrists, who will manage a wide range of emotional and behavioural health issues in young people.

Services provided by the clinics will include in-person psychological testing for learning disorders, autism, school readiness, executive functioning, and more.

Additionally, children with concerns, including trauma and depression, will be provided psychiatry, therapy and medication management services.

The provider has stated that remote services will remain accessible throughout the US.

Brightline co-founder and CEO Naomi Allen said: “We're expanding Brightline to ensure that other families can access the care they need for their children, in whatever manner works best for them, virtually, in-person, or both.

“With years of evidence-based care and promising outcomes backing our expansion to hybrid care, the move also lets us offer more speciality care for higher-acuity mental health needs while helping to drive down the cost of care through insurance partnerships.

“Our research shows us that parents want to receive care that's local to them and that's covered by their insurance, which we're doing with clinically sound, outcomes-driven programmes.”
