AI-driven healthcare provider Eko Health has announced that its telehealth platform is now supporting health systems operating more than 800 hospitals across the US.

This development marks a step forward in enhancing the delivery of virtual cardiac and pulmonary care.

Eko's telehealth platform facilitates the real-time streaming of high-fidelity heart and lung sounds, enabling virtual care teams to perform frontline diagnostics better from any location.

To cater to the demands of enterprise health systems, the company has recently launched a fully web-based version of its platform. It has integrated single sign-on (SSO) support, streamlining access and deployment for healthcare providers.

Eko Telehealth supports a diverse array of virtual care models such as virtual nursing, hospital-at-home, and speciality consults.

This ensures quality auscultation is possible even when patients and healthcare providers are not co-located.

Besides heart and lung sounds, Eko's solution offers real-time streaming of phonocardiograms (PCGs) and ECG waveforms, integrating into virtual workflows.

It complements current video platforms rather than act as a replacement, allowing for high-fidelity remote stethoscope examinations during live virtual visits.

Eko Health co-founder and chief business officer Jason Bellet said: “Our high-fidelity heart and lung sound data unlocks new remote exam capabilities and enables hundreds of hospitals to deliver a higher calibre of virtual care across a range of specialties, models, and use cases.”

Fully compatible with Eko's stethoscope portfolio, which has sold more than 650,000 units worldwide, Eko Telehealth is part of the largest connected digital stethoscope network worldwide.

Leveraging Eko’s proprietary audio architecture, the solution provides sound fidelity that ensures clinicians can hear with precision during remote consultations.

Addressing one of the major limitations in virtual care—the ability to conduct thorough listening—Eko is bridging the gap between in-person exams and remote visits.
