The collaboration aims to improve the accuracy of patient data capture during critical care flights.

Life Link III, a company in critical care air medical transport, has entered into a strategic partnership with Playback Health for clinical documentation within the air medical industry.

Under the collaboration, Playback Health's Ambient artificial intelligence (AI) technology will be integrated into the air medical transport sector.

This approach is expected to streamline the way clinical documentation is handled, aiming to improve the accuracy of patient data capture during critical care flights.

Using the Ambient AI technology, Life Link III seeks to automate the documentation process, thereby reducing the workload on clinical teams and enhancing the quality of patient records.

Life Link III chief innovation officer Kolby Kolbet said: “By integrating Playback Health’s innovative technology, we can ensure that our clinicians have more time to focus on patient care while our documentation processes become more accurate and efficient.”

Ambient AI is specifically designed to record complex clinical interactions and convert them into detailed, precise documentation, without interrupting care delivery.

Life Link III chief medical officer Dr Bjorn Peterson said: “This partnership represents a tremendous opportunity for our clinicians to focus more on patient care and operational safety, rather than being burdened by administrative tasks.

“By automating the documentation process with Playback Health’s Ambient AI, our teams can devote their full attention to delivering rapid, life-saving care during missions while also ensuring that administrative responsibilities are significantly reduced.”

Life Link III and Playback Health are also pioneering the adoption of advanced digital solutions in the air medical transport and emergency medical services (EMS) sectors.

The anticipated benefits include a decrease in administrative tasks, increased accuracy in data, and better patient care and outcomes in critical situations.
