PAM Health has unveiled the acquisition and forthcoming opening of a new rehabilitation hospital in Florida, strengthening its network in the US state.

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocoee, formerly Everest Rehabilitation Orlando, is a 36-bed facility set to open later this year and will offer specialised care for patients with various debilitating conditions.

The hospital will join existing facilities in Winter Garden and Tavares, as well as the upcoming site in Orange City.

PAM Health founder, chairman and CEO Anthony Misitano said: "We are excited to expand our presence in Central Florida with the addition of PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocoee.

"This location strengthens our commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred rehabilitation services in the region and reflects our continued growth and investment in communities where there is a clear need for advanced rehabilitative care."

Patients at the Ocoee hospital will have access to care for a range of conditions, including traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, strokes, orthopaedic conditions, and post-surgical recovery.

The hospital will employ technologies to aid patients in their recovery paths.

PAM Health's facilities are also known for their workers' compensation programmes.

Based in Enola, Pennsylvania, the company operates a network of post-acute healthcare services across 23 states, including more than 100 long-term acute care hospitals, behavioural health hospitals, medical rehabilitation hospitals, wound care clinics, and outpatient physical therapy locations.

In December 2024, PAM Health expanded its footprint by acquiring Southern Indiana Rehabilitation Hospital in the US.

Additionally, the company disclosed plans to establish four new rehabilitation hospitals in four different states last year.
