Clinical Computer Systems (CCSI), a US-based perinatal software provider, has joined the MEDITECH Alliance Program as a collaborator.

The MEDITECH Alliance is an ecosystem of partner organisations with interoperable solutions that “complement, enhance, or extend” the MEDITECH Expanse electronic health record (EHR) platform.

The latest collaboration focuses on integrating OBIX Perinatal Data System by CCSI with MEDITECH Expanse.

This partnership seeks to optimise labour and delivery workflows and enhance patient care.

Since 2016, the two companies have partnered to jointly develop interfaces for an integrated perinatal medical record, aiming to enhance hospitals' clinical workflows and interoperability strategies.

OBIX is an electronic foetal monitoring solution offering bedside, central, and remote monitoring, point-of-care charting, archiving, and single-click management reports.

Its decision support tools assist clinicians in promoting patient safety and improving practices, leveraging current technology to fit various environments.

CCSI senior vice president Stephanie Goetz said: “We are excited to continue our work with MEDITECH to integrate the OBIX system with MEDITECH Expanse, providing hospitals with a strategic perinatal solution and a single patient medical record.

“Our collaboration will enable healthcare providers to access relevant data quickly and easily, enhancing the quality of care and improving patient outcomes.”

CCSI will maintain its collaboration with MEDITECH to promote progress in electronic foetal monitoring and perinatal care.
