Sant’ Andrea University Hospital, affiliated with Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, is set to integrate Enterprise Imaging platform from GE HealthCare and Tribun Health’s CaloPix digital pathology solution to help improve patient care.

The integration is aimed at unifying the solutions into an AI-ready environment.

GE HealthCare’s Datalogue, which includes a vendor neutral archive (VNA) and Tribun Health’s CaloPix integration aims to enhance data-driven cancer care at the hospital.

The Datalogue platform helps manage patient images, data, enterprise imaging content.

CaloPix provides an end-to-end computational pathology suite powered by AI for drug development, diagnostics, and prognosis.

The public university hospital handles a high volume of complex imaging cases and pathology.

The project supports the hospital’s aim to accelerate diagnostics and advance multidisciplinary partnership, with the goal of improving outcomes for cancer patients.

Sant’ Andrea completely implemented digital pathology, investing nearly €1.5m ($1.74m), with approximately €800,000 funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

GE HealthCare enterprise imaging solutions CEO Scott Miller said: “The oncology care pathway is one of the most complex with multiple steps involving a variety of specialists, complex tools, frequent decisions and large data sets.

“Sant’ Andrea’s enterprise imaging implementation will help streamline the oncology care pathway across the enterprise and support clinical teams delivering the best care to their patients.”

The digital pathology solutions aim to streamline and accelerate pathology diagnostics for clinicians at the point of care.

With the integration of Datalogue, pathology results are incorporated into the enterprise imaging platform, offering clinicians a consolidated view of clinical data to assist in decision making.

In October 2025, GE HealthCare announced partnerships with two US health systems, namely the Queen’s Health Systems and Duke Health, to enhance the development of its AI-driven hospital operations software.
