US-based digital health services company VSee Health has renewed and expanded a two-year contract worth $2m with an unnamed integrated delivery network (IDN) hospital system.

The expansion will double the number of hospital beds covered under the contract and introduce VSee Health's autonomous robot solutions for neurocritical care.

VSee Health said the contract renewal showcases the integration of its digital health ecosystem, which includes hardware, software, clinical services and billing solutions.

The company will now develop a 'revolutionary' telenursing solution to address workforce shortages and improve efficiency in care delivery.

The renewed collaboration highlights the increasing need for autonomous healthcare technologies and smooth telehealth solutions in critical care environments.

VSee Health's self-driving robots will facilitate collaborative provider efforts, real-time patient monitoring and AI-enhanced care workflows, aiming to help hospitals handle larger patient volumes.

Besides addressing the critical nursing staff shortage, the telenursing model being developed by VSee Health aims to reduce burnout while maintaining current standards of care.

By integrating AI automation, remote nursing support and robotic assistance, VSee Health wishes to position itself as a partner for hospitals looking to improve operational efficiency.

Based in Massachusetts, the company provides comprehensive solutions in teleradiology, critical care and autonomous robotics, to enhance the efficiency of healthcare operations.

Its solutions are used by Nasa, the US Department of Health and Human Services, McKesson and DaVita, as well as all healthcare facilities in Qatar.
