The adoption of this technology is set to enhance telehealth services, enabling specialists from ECU Health Medical Center to offer expanded care to patients in local facilities and improve care team and patient experiences.

The initial phase of rollout will commence at ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan, Bertie, Chowan, North and Duplin Hospitals.
All sites will use the telehealth platform via a range of services such as Tele ICU, Tele Observers, and Tele Neuro may vary across location.
Artisight’s Smart Hospital platform integrates cameras, microphones, AI and other smart devices, providing hospitals with real-time situational monitoring.
The platform works alongside electronic health records (EHRs) to streamline operational workflows and support care coordination.

In August 2025, ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital opened a new 144-bed facility designed to enhance services in eastern North Carolina.
