US-based Autism Learning Partners (ALP) has announced a significant ABA [applied behaviour analysis] therapy centre expansion in California, with new centres set to open in Compton, Torrance, and San Leandro in 2026.
The expansion aims to increase access to tailored, multidisciplinary care for children and families affected by autism and related disorders.

The new ABA therapy centres will be in Compton, South Los Angeles; and Torrance, South Bay in Southern California; and San Leandro, East Bay in Northern California.
These locations are expected to enhance ALP’s support for children from birth to age five, a period recognised as critical for brain development. Families at the new centres will have access to early intensive behaviour intervention (EIBI) and other comprehensive services.
ALP stated that its approach includes creating individualised care plans for each child, delivered by a dedicated clinical team.
The centres will offer a play-based ABA programme, with a proprietary curriculum designed to prepare children for transitions into preschool, day care, or kindergarten.

By GlobalDataALP Southern California clinical services vice-president Marta Marquez said: “ALP’s centre-based support features a comprehensive, play-based ABA programme for young learners, embedding a proprietary curriculum into a fun and engaging routine that prepares each child for success in a preschool, day care, or kindergarten setting after graduation.”
ALP Northern California clinical services vice-president Jennifer Villicana commented: “The developmentally sequenced curriculum goals incorporate the latest evidence-based research and span a range of support areas, focusing on communication, social and play skills, and skills related to planning, following schedules, and problem solving.”
Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Monrovia, California, ALP employs more than 250 board certified behaviour analysts (BCBAs) and has a workforce of 4,000 nationwide, including behaviour technicians.
Currently operation in 15 states, it offers ABA care, speech, occupational, and physical therapies, as well as diagnostic services in select regions.
Earlier this week, ALP also opened of a new ABA therapy centre in Murrieta, California. This move is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to expand its footprint and increase access to autism services across California.
In contrast to its expansion in California, ALP has earlier this month announced that it will cease providing ABA services in Texas from 21 March 2026. The decision follows a detailed review of state Medicaid administration, specifically citing reduced reimbursement rates and process challenges with authorisations as key factors.
As a result, ALP will end centre and home-based services in various Texas regions such as El Paso, Plano, Sugarland, South Lake, and The Woodlands.
