Pinnacle Treatment Centers (PTC), a provider of treatment for adult men and women struggling with substance use disorders, has opened Vineland Treatment Services, at Vineland, New Jersey.
Pinnacle has 13 opioid treatment programmes in the state and one intensive outpatient/partial hospitalisation programme.
It is claimed to be one of a select few treatment facilities in the area to provide underserved communities with affordable substance abuse treatment and the option of outpatient care.
This model of care enables patients to take control of their treatment as it affords them the opportunity to still maintain employment, school obligations and family commitments.
Pinnacle Treatment Centers CEO Joe Pritchard said: “Given the opioid epidemic throughout the state, there is a drastic need for treatment. Our company is committed to bringing care directly into the community to help solve this crisis.”
According to Pritchard, there is a need for outpatient programmes that are designed to offer support in managing stress and providing patients with relapse prevention strategies, while connecting them with community support.

By GlobalDataAttorney General Gurbir Grewal said: “The opioid crisis is unprecedented in its scope and devastating in its intensity. Our response must be equally broad in scope and intensity.”
As per the data published by NJ Cares, the state may eclipse 3,000 drug related fatalities in 2019. The increase is almost entirely blamed on the opioid crisis.
Pinnacle’s chief medical officer and medical director of Vineland Treatment Services, Chris Johnston said: “This facility in Vineland allows new options in group and individual counseling and expanded space for our nurses and doctors to provide FDA-approved medications that control opioid cravings and facilitate other important recovery activities.”
Pinnacle’s latest outpatient treatment centre can serve 450 patients on a daily basis and offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT), medically-assisted detox, individual and group therapy, meditation, etc.
