April 2021 has seen an increase of 9.69% in the overall hiring activity when compared with March 2021.

IT jobs accounted for an 18.64% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in April 2021, registering an increase of 1.27% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in April 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 71.08% in April 2021, a 37.96% growth over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 10.27% in April 2021, marking a 16.37% month-on-month an increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 10.02% in April 2021, a 6.87% growth from March 2021.

Top five healthcare companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in April 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 50.68% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s healthcare industry during April 2021 over previous month.
International Business Machines posted 1,251 IT jobs in April 2021 and registered a an increase of 181.76% over the previous month, followed by DXC Technology with 880 jobs and a 7.71% growth. KBC Group with 626 IT jobs and Oracle with 259 jobs, recorded a 35.21% growth and a 9.44% drop, respectively, while Atos recorded a 61.54% an increase with 189 job postings during April 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s healthcare industry
Switzerland commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 21.6% share in April 2021, a 37.29% rise over March 2021. Romania featured next with a 15.31% share, up 153.31% over the previous month. Czech Republic recorded an 11.85% share, a growth of 21.97% compared with March 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.88%, up by 41.06% from March 2021. Mid Level positions with a 14.07% share, a decline of 6.36% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.53% share, down 25% over March 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.51%, recording a month-on-month growth of 15%.
