US-based RegionalCare Hospital Partners has completed the acquisition of Essent Healthcare.

Under the merger agreement, RegionalCare will continue the recently-started campus consolidation plans in Paris, Texas, maintain the commitment to physician recruiting and retention, and make appropriate capital investments at individual hospitals.

The combined company is now the owner and operator of seven non-urban hospitals in Texas, Alabama, Connecticut, Ohio, Iowa and Pennsylvania.

Tennessee-based RegionalCare is the owner and operator of four non-urban hospitals located around the US, while Nashville-based Essent is the owner and operator of three non-urban acute care hospitals located in Sharon in Connecticut, Waynesburg in Pennsylvania and Paris in Texas.
