What is Safety?

The Safety category includes companies and institutions that have demonstrated best practice in health and safety including compliance to standards and any initiatives taken to improve workplace safety through the introduction of new guidelines, policies or equipment.

It also includes projects and initiatives by companies to improve health and safety in other public environments other than their own workspaces.

Themes

With the pandemic negatively affecting employee mental health, the topic has become even more important to companies’ workplace safety programmes. Hospital staff have been particularly affected, as they have borne the brunt of the epidemic.

As a result, tech companies have been experimenting with virtual reality (VR) devices to improve employee mental wellbeing. Platforms enabling staff to log daily insights, such as mood scores, journals, and sleep patterns have also been popular.

Infection prevention and general patient safety have also become increasingly important in the context of COVID and hospital authorities and tech companies have been partnering to implement digital management systems which are crucial to patient safety.

Cybersecurity has also been a major issue for the industry.

Categories

This category includes hospital authorities and companies that have contributed to safety standards in the hospital management industry.
