Pneumeric has signed an agreement with Technimount EMS Holding (Technimount EMS), a Canadian company dedicated to serving the healthcare community with the highest quality products, to distribute its Capnospot Pneumothorax Decompression Indicator throughout Canada.
The Capnospot provides objective visual confirmation of correct needle placement during pneumothorax decompression through simple colour change, allowing providers to quickly proceed with other relevant life-saving therapies. The device is designed to affix on the distal end of any commercially available needle angiocatheter or thoracostomy with a standard luer lock fitting used for decompression. As pneumothorax gas flows through the needle and Capnospot device, the dark blue colorimetric paper turns bright yellow in seconds as it comes in contact with CO₂.
“Pneumeric is excited to announce our partnership with Technimount EMS, and we look forward to working with their experienced team to expand Capnospot sales in the Canadian market,” says Deon Miller, chief commercial officer at Pneumeric.
“We’re pleased to partner with Pneumeric to bring this innovative solution to the Canadian market, supporting caregivers across diverse areas of patient care, enhancing procedural accuracy, and ultimately improving patient outcomes,” said Carl Bouchard, president and CEO of Technimount System.
The Capnospot Tension Pneumothorax Decompression Indicator will now be available for purchase by hospitals, military, and emergency transport medical providers directly from Technimount EMS.
