The American Cancer Society (ACS) and Color Health have expanded their collaborative programme, aiming to provide a comprehensive cancer support system for employers and labour unions.
This initiative is designed to assist employees and members at every stage of the cancer journey, from screening to survivorship.
The expanded programme now includes Color Medical clinical teams to manage abnormal screenings to confirmed diagnoses, specialised care for high-risk individuals, and integrated clinical and mental health support for survivors.
Under the expanded effort, Color is operating a Virtual Cancer Clinic staffed by an in-house clinical care team, including specialist oncologists, practising physicians, high-risk clinical coordinators, and genetic counsellors.
The clinic ensures swift screening and diagnostic care through integrated diagnostics and a nationwide imaging network, which provides appointment availability in less than two weeks.
The organisations are also introducing ‘Color Cancer Connect’, a proprietary peer support programme that provides mental health services, along with ‘Care Advocates’ to address logistical needs and financial considerations of cancer prevention, detection, and care.

By GlobalDataEducation and awareness resources, a key aspect of expanded programme, are curated by cancer experts to improve engagement and screening compliance, and the programme supports evidence-based screening management to facilitate early cancer detection.
Upon diagnosis, the programme connects individuals to quality, affordable care and treatment quickly, reducing the time and costs associated with administrative delays.
Cancer Treatment Support is provided through integrations with Centers of Excellence, with no additional fees for all participating employees and members.
The programme also ensures ongoing support for survivors, offering both physical and mental health assistance and helping manage the costs of continued care.
Furthermore, Color Health has shared early results from a pilot study on the programme’s impact, indicating significant improvements in screening adherence and participant satisfaction.
Participants aged between 45 and 65 and previously behind on cancer screenings showed an 84% increase in their understanding of cancer screening frequency and timing, while screening adherence rates based on ACS guidelines doubled to triple within eight weeks.
Color CEO Othman Laraki said, “We’re recognising the need for a comprehensive clinic approach, which really takes on clinical care and support while also lowering access barriers and thinking holistically about cancer—which is not just a medical issue but something far more complex.”
