US-based non-profit health system Banner Health has collaborated with Qventus for the broader implementation of the latter’s Perioperative solution to enhance surgical efficiencies across its facilities.
The collaboration with Qventus has already demonstrated significant improvements for Banner Health.
Qventus said that the deployment of the Perioperative solution has sustained a high level of patient care and refined surgical scheduling and utilization through advanced technology.
Following the initial success of this solution, which yielded a double-digit return on investment, Banner Health is now rolling out the Qventus Perioperative solution across its enterprise.
In addition, Banner Health, in partnership with Qventus, has introduced new applications that equip surgical teams with real-time access to operating room (OR) schedules.
The software, which integrates bi-directionally with the electronic health record (EHR) system, offers a comprehensive view of OR availability, helping fill time slots that might otherwise remain unused.

By GlobalDataAccording to Qventus, the use of predictive analytics and an extensive dataset, including unique external market data, allows hospital leadership to generate actionable insights, which are crucial in driving increased utilisation and enabling the care of more patients.
Banner Health has leveraged artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, personalisation, and automation through the Qventus solution to reduce the burden on staff by eliminating manual tasks.
The recommended actions generated by the solution are directly aligned with the healthcare organisation’s strategic goals.
Banner Health Surgical and Procedural Services medical director Dr Nirav Patel said: “Qventus automations helped us identify where OR time was going unused, freeing up those spaces for patients who need it. Their technology has improved our efficiencies, allowing us to predict and meet the evolving needs of our patients seeking timely, compassionate care.”
