US-based cybersecurity company Critical Insight has renewed and expanded its partnership with the American Hospital Association (AHA).

The renewed alliance includes managed detection and response (MDR) and a Healthcare Security Program, which now includes incident response planning.

This MDR service provides 24/7 monitoring and response to cyber threats.

The Healthcare Security Program includes a HIPAA risk assessment, continuous vulnerability identification, incident response planning, and MDR.

Critical Insight CEO Garrett Silver said: “We are proud to be an AHA Preferred Cybersecurity Provider (APCP) and excited to be offering a new service to AHA members to support their cybersecurity initiatives as part of our ongoing relationship with the AHA.

“This is a testament to our focused mission on protecting critical infrastructure.

“As cyber threats evolve, our extended services and support will equip AHA members with the tools and insights necessary to safeguard their operations.”

A joint webinar will be held on 24 August to discuss the new offerings.

The APCP programme is expected to help hospitals and health systems curb, prevent, prepare for, and respond to cyber risks.

The American Hospital Association national cybersecurity and risk adviser John Riggi said: “Critical Insight’s ongoing commitment to supporting hospitals was once again evident through AHA member feedback and ongoing evaluation.

“The AHA is proud to continue and enhance our relationship with them through APCP.

“We can confidently recommend Critical Insight as a reliable source of support for our nation’s hospitals and health systems in their efforts to defend against sophisticated cyber threats and ransomware attacks.”
