HandsFree Health, a US-based provider of HIPAA compliant, voice-enabled virtual health assistant platform WellBe, has launched its Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) service.

The RPM service is claimed to provide a voice activated remote patient monitoring experience for doctors, hospitals, health plans, nursing facilities, and case management programmes to integrate and boost current patient programmes.

The programmes on remote patient monitoring have expanded in adoption to enable efficient care and cut down re-admission rates.

Leveraging voice technology, HandsFree Health’s RPM intends to boost efficiencies and outcomes.

HandsFree Health president Dan Messina said: “HandsFree Health’s voice-enabled technology is a key differentiator in the remote patient monitoring space. “It allows for a level of communication with patients not currently offered by other systems while providing valuable patient data to healthcare providers.”

The firm’s suite of products include the WellBe smart speaker, smartwatch and HFH Go mobile app.

Equipped with voice-enabled technology, patients can gain access to information on healthcare, or call their doctor, and even control their home environment with their voice.

HandsFree Health CEO Mike Cardillo said: “Our goal was to create a virtual experience that is as valuable to both the patient and provider as an in-office visit.

“Our HIPAA-compliant dashboard securely reports patient information in a way that is easy to analyse for providers and convenient to manage for billing.”

The firm’s remote patient monitoring makes use of several linked medical devices to gather health data on a wide range of important metrics including vital signs, blood pressure, heart rate, blood sugar, weight, blood oxygen levels, and more.

Due to the custom dashboard, it is easier to analyse critical data and track usage. Furthermore, billing has been made easier through patient portal, which enables to track participation.

HandsFree Health’s RPM will become available in late Q2 2021.
