US-based healthcare network HealthLynked has revised its appointment booking capabilities with the aim to streamline patient access to healthcare services.

The updated capabilities on the HealthLynked app and platform are intended to make it easier for patients to find and book appointments with both in-network and out-of-network providers.

The first of four major changes is the introduction of date- and time-specific booking with in-network providers, accessible to all users at no cost.

This feature ensures immediate booking with participating HealthLynked providers.

The second new feature is exclusive to concierge members and allows them to make concierge appointments with out-of-network providers.

Patients can indicate their preferred days and whether they prefer morning or afternoon appointments, while the HealthLynked concierge team will manage the scheduling process.

An additional new feature allows concierge members to request speciality-based appointments without needing to choose a specific provider.

By providing their city or postcode, along with a preferred day and time, the concierge team will coordinate with a suitable provider in the patient’s area.

The fourth revision is an update to the appointment booking interface, which now includes reasons for visits across medical specialities.

This is intended to make it easier for all users to select or add the reason for their visit.

HealthLynked CEO Dr Michael Dent said: “At HealthLynked, our mission is to connect patients with the best possible healthcare, faster and more efficiently.

“These latest enhancements expand access to care – whether through in-network booking, concierge appointment requests, or speciality-based provider matching.”

HealthLynked has also introduced a revised provider review system, which enables users to leave detailed feedback.

Earlier this year, the company added features to its online appointment booking platform and made upgrades to its ARi voice assistant, with the aim of enhancing patient convenience and improving communication between doctors and patients.
