Clinical SaaS solutions provider Motivity has announced a $27m investment from Five Elms Capital to drive faster product innovation, team expansion, and enhance support for applied behaviour analysis (ABA) clinicians worldwide.

From its inception in 2012, the company focuses on supporting clinicians with technology that contributes to clinical efficiency and enhanced outcomes.

It has currently received $11m in Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grants, which played an important role in developing next-generation solutions.

These encompass analytics for clinical decision support, workflows enhanced with AI, and healthcare provider engagement tools.

Motivity founder Rex Jakobovits said: “This investment isn’t just about scaling; it’s about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in ABA technology.

“Our focus remains the same: delivering intuitive, intelligent solutions that help providers focus on what matters most – improving the lives of children with autism and their families.”

With this new phase of growth, Motivity is also undergoing leadership changes.

Jakobovits will take on the role of Strategy and Innovation chief, while Smith Anderson, who was an operator at Five Elms Capital, steps in as CEO.

The current team will stay unchanged, ensuring sustained development of the platform and undisrupted operations.

Anderson said: “Motivity remains focused on clinical outcomes. This investment empowers us to expand that mission with enhanced tools, greater scale, and even stronger support.

“Our dedication to innovation and customer care remains unwavering. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and deeply committed to equipping ABA providers with best-in-class tools to deliver life-changing care.”

Looking ahead, Motivity aims to intensify its research and development initiatives, with a focus on AI-powered insights, clinical decision-support tools, and solutions designed to enhance caregiver engagement.

The company also seeks to strengthen its enterprise capabilities to better serve the needs of broader ABA organisations.
