Baptist Hospital of Miami, part of healthcare organisation Baptist Health South Florida, has chosen RaySearch Laboratories' RayStation treatment planning system for treatments, such as intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT).

RayStation integrates multicriteria optimisation tools with support for 4D adaptive radiation therapy.

The treatment planning system also includes functionality, like RaySearch's algorithms for IMRT and volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) optimisation and dose engines for both photon and proton therapy.

The tool allows clinicians to evaluate the impact of changing different treatment priorities in real-time, which could to speed up the often time-consuming treatment planning optimisation process.
