Mammoth Hospital in California, US, has selected a solution to manage the revenue cycle for 39 affiliated providers in 11 outpatient clinics.
Allscripts RCM solution is designed to meet the regulatory requirements of health reform and improve both hospital and practice financial performance, the company said.
The software-as-a-service solution provides an integrated financial and administrative management solution for physician practices.
The full-service billing and collections solution is expected to manage the entire revenue cycle continuum to enable care providers to cut costs and improve cash flow.
The solution also provides hospital with the financial decision support, clinical and operational analytics, and a patient portal with online bill pay.
Mammoth Hospital CEO Gary Boyd said that outsourcing their physician business office with Allscripts will help them achieve sustained, positive financial performance.

Allscripts CEO Glen Tullman said that their RCM service gives physicians a trusted partner to manage the business end of medicine so they can focus on the patient.

The hospital will also deploy the integrated Allscripts Electronic Health Record for the automation of physician clinical processes.
The solutions deployed at Mammoth will be integrated with the hospital’s inpatient health information system from Siemens, and will interoperate with other health information systems to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care.
