The cargo is being carried by the 266,000 cubic meter capacity Bu Samra carrier, which is expected to reach the South Hook LNG terminal in the UK on 5 February 2012.

The annual processing capacity of the South Hook LNG terminal, commissioned in 2010, is said to be around 15.6 million tonnes. It could deliver around 21 billion cubic meters of gas per year into the UK’s national transmission system.

Qatar Petroleum holds 67.5% stake in the South Hook LNG terminal, ExxonMobil 24.15% and Total owns the rest.
