RaySearch Laboratories has recieved an order to install its treatment planning systems at the University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell in New York.
The tool allows clinicians to evaluate the impact of changing different treatment priorities in real-time, which could to speed up the often time-consuming treatment planning optimisation process.
RayStation will serve as an advanced research platform at the University Hospital Department of Radiation Oncology where the staff will use the system to model workflows in multi-criteria optimisation intensity-modulated radiation therapy, 4D image registration and dose accumulation.
Hansen Chen, director of technology development and systems integration in the Department of Radiation Oncology, said, "We have many projects here at the university hospital that can benefit from using a platform like RayStation, and we look forward to working with the developers in Stockholm to assess the use of these technologies and how they can help us reach our advanced research goals."
