The University of Saarland in Germany has selected Sectra‘s Education Portal for its medical training programme.
The initiative is set to significantly enhance the educational experience for radiographer students.

The platform will offer access to real-life clinical cases, supporting both self-directed learning and remote studies, and alleviate the gap between academic learning and clinical practice.
Since 2016, the university hospital has been using Sectra’s radiology solution and is now expanding its capabilities to include the company’s advanced education technology.
This will benefit students studying to be medical-technical radiology assistants (MTRA), whose training is conducted at the university hospital’s school centre.

Sectra’s Education Portal operates on a subscription-based SaaS model, allowing for use at the university, at home, or within the hospital environment.
The portal is used globally in more than 60 countries and features a range of anonymised medical cases and images.
These resources have been collected through collaborations with Sectra’s customers and cover numerous medical specialities, such as anatomy, histopathology, radiology, and surgery.
The platform also supports the importation of custom material, enabling educators to create bespoke lessons tailored to their specific teaching requirements.
