AltaPointe Health has expanded outpatient services for children with the opening of a new clinic in Mobile, Alabama, US.

This new clinic at 4211 Government Boulevard is designed to offer convenient access to behavioural health care for children as well as adolescents.

AltaPointe Health is responding to the increasing mental health services for children by expanding its services.

The new outpatient facility, located in Mobile County’s western and southern regions, aims to minimise travel time for families and enhance access to crucial services for young patients.

AltaPointe Health CEO Tuerk Schlesinger said: “We recognise that timely and convenient access to mental health care is crucial for children and their families.

“This outpatient location on Government Boulevard is part of our ongoing commitment to ensure that high-quality, specialised care is within reach for all families in Mobile County.”

The outpatient clinic delivers a suite of services for individuals aged three to 19 years. These services include intake assessments and testing; therapies for individuals, families and groups.

Other services offered at the centre include medical evaluations along with medication monitoring, care coordination as well as parenting support.

The facility is equipped to address a range of behavioural and emotional issues, such as anxiety, trauma, conduct disorders and depression.

AltaPointe’s latest initiative is aimed at broadening mental health care while making sure that children and families throughout the county have access to the necessary support and resources.

It operates Accordia Health, two psychiatric hospitals, one Behavioral Health Crisis Center, and 22 outpatient facilities for behavioural healthcare, and caters to 45,000 patients in Alabama.
