Ascom has entered an agreement to integrate its Virtual Care Platform with the Myco devices and Healthcare Platform suite of Ascom.
The multi-year interoperability partnership aims to assist hospitals in streamlining communication, improving coordination among care teams, and enhancing patient safety.
AvaSure’s platform provides AI-driven solutions, including virtual observation, nursing, and visits, aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, assisting hospitals in reducing costs, and boosting efficiency within care teams.
It has AI-augmented features such as patient safety and operational monitoring, a virtual care assistant, and monitoring of ambient falls, all designed as per enterprise IT standards.
AvaSure solutions are currently utilised in over 1,100 hospitals, with more than 5,000 deployments globally.
AvaSure CEO Adam McMullin said: “Healthcare leaders are looking for integrated, intelligent solutions that improve care delivery without adding complexity.
“Our partnership with Ascom is a strategic step toward building a more connected care environment where virtual care, communication, and clinical workflows seamlessly support frontline staff and elevate patient outcomes.”
Ascom Americas managing director Tobias Stanelle said: “This interoperability facilitates care collaboration between virtual and in-person clinical staff, which leads to better informed decision making, improved response times, staff satisfaction, and patient outcomes.”
The collaboration responds to growing demand in healthcare for vendor-neutral systems that link monitoring and clinical communication technologies.
Shared customers now have access to the Ascom-AvaSure integration, which can be incorporated into wider alarm management initiatives.
In July 2024, Ascom and Almaviva announced a strategic partnership to advance digital transformation in Italy’s healthcare sector.
