Healthcare services provider Burjeel has secured a contract to operate and manage ADNOC’s Al Dhannah Hospital in the Al Dhafra region in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Burjeel takes on complete operational responsibility of the 122-bed multi-speciality hospital, serving ADNOC workers and their families, as well as the local community.

The group further said that it seeks to provide ‘coordinated’ care using ‘clinically integrated’ operations.

Accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI), Al Dhannah Hospital currently provides various multispecialty services, such as occupational medicine, orthopaedics, paediatrics and emergency care.

Burjeel CEO John Sunil said: “This agreement is a testament to Burjeel Holdings’ capabilities and experience in the O&M space, enabling the group to grow and expand further in an asset-light manner in the UAE and region.

Burjeel claims to have capabilities to deal with complex care cases, such as trauma, organ transplants, women's care, paediatrics, orthopaedics, spine and neuro care.

In May this year, Burjeel’s flagship hospital Burjeel Medical City in Abu Dhabi unveiled the Advanced Gynaecology Institute (AGI).

AGI will offer comprehensive healthcare services for women in the region through its three specialised clinics, Gynaecological Oncology, IFEM Endo Middle East Clinic and Complex Gynaecology Care.
