US-based paediatric care network Fortify Children's Health has implemented Oracle Health Data Intelligence to provide improved care quality to its paediatric patients and manage value-based care contract performance.

The solution enables the integration of data from various sources, providing a comprehensive view of past medical data of patients and aiding in the optimisation of care and reimbursements.

Fortify Children’s Health Clinical Informatics director Bryan Thorne said: “Oracle Health Data Intelligence helps us bring that disparate data into one platform so our clinicians gain a more complete picture of a child’s health history.”

Leveraging different EHRs, payer claims, enrolment data, the Virginia state health information exchange, and the Virginia immunisation registry, Oracle Health Data Intelligence allows Fortify Children's Health to cleanse, incorporate, and normalise data from a diverse array of network providers.

This develops a unified, longitudinal view of each paediatric patient's medical data.

The technology assesses important data points to populate custom scorecards, which are essential for monitoring specific value-based care metrics.

It automatically pinpoints gaps to be filled, while providers and managers benefit from follow-up alerts.

Additionally, the solution assists in prioritising outreach to patients who are most likely to get help from additional communications and treatment, leading to a rise in adolescent immunisation rates, infant well visits, and timely interventions for asthma patients.

Looking ahead, Fortify Children's Health plans to expand its use of the Oracle Health Data Intelligence suite to garner insights into the social determinants of paediatric population’s health.

Oracle Health Data Intelligence, a comprehensive array of cloud infrastructure, analytics, and applications, allows healthcare and government stakeholders to utilise data from across the healthcare ecosystem.

Recently, Oracle has released its new cloud-based offering, Oracle Health Community Care, for caregivers to access patient charts.
