AI-powered virtual care platform hellocare.ai has announced its integration with Epic MyChart Bedside TV, along with official listing in Epic Toolbox.

Health systems using Epic can enable smart hospital experiences through MyChart Bedside TV directly.

hellocare.ai founder and CEO Labinot Bytyqi said: “This listing in Epic Toolbox reinforces our commitment to interoperability and improving the inpatient experience through Epic MyChart Bedside TV by leveraging health systems’ existing Epic infrastructure and investments.

“We’re excited to bring Epic MyChart Bedside TV engagement to more hospitals, enabling scalable and patient-centred care.”

The integration allows patients to access their medical records and communicate with their care teams from the comfort of their hospital bed.

The hellocare.ai device, compatible with any standard hospital TV, runs MyChart Bedside TV natively, without the need for additional hardware or login procedures.

This connection supports virtual visits and is compatible with various pillow speaker systems, offering intuitive control of the bedside experience.

The hellocare.ai platform features an entirely in-house technology stack that includes software, hardware, AI, and electronic health record (EHR) integration.

This comprehensive approach ensures rapid scalability, customisation, and a patient-centric experience via a unified platform.

The integration also supports Live TV via IPTV and Coax cable, making the implementation process more convenient and reducing operational intricacies.

Cloud-based device management facilitates app updates and centralised configuration, using the same hellocare.ai device for Epic context-aware link (CAL) and embedded context-aware link (ECAL) workflows.

These integrations enable secure, context-driven launches from various Epic applications such as Haiku, Hyperspace, and Rover.

hellocare.ai's platform is already in use across more than 70 health systems, enabling hospitals to offer a range of AI-driven services.

These services include virtual sitting, virtual nursing, patient engagement, ambient documentation, digital room entry signs, digital whiteboards, hospital-at-home programmes, and remote patient monitoring.
