Massive Bio has introduced a new feature on its Patient Connect app, integrating with the Oracle Cerner platform to simplify access to electronic health records (EHRs).

Both healthcare providers and patients will be able to utilise EHRs for enhanced cancer care and trial enrollment through this integration.

The launch supports Massive Bio’s commitment to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to support healthcare interoperability across the US.

The Cerner application addresses the ongoing issue of fragmented medical data in oncology, which complicates patients’ ability to access complete medical histories and challenges hospitals in screening large patient populations for trial eligibility.

Along with Epic, Cerner serves around two-thirds of care providers and more than three-quarters of hospital capacity in the US.

Integration with this platform allows Massive Bio to extend its reach across a significant portion of the US healthcare system.

The application offers a dual solution. Patients can link their My Cerner Chart and Massive Bio profile, enabling easy retrieval of comprehensive medical records.

This facilitates patient engagement and ensures data is ready for analysis via Massive Bio’s AI-driven prescreening hubs.

For healthcare providers, the app introduces a bulk data retrieval capability. Cancer centres and hospitals can securely process multiple consented patients’ records simultaneously.
