Maternal care platform eLovu Health forges alliance with Caduceus

The eLovu platform is expected to address physician burnout and tackle maternal health disparities.

July 13 2023

Digital maternal healthcare platform eLovu Health has partnered with Caduceus Medical Group, a physician-owned and managed medical group in Orange County, California, US.

The partnership aims to address the current and projected shortages of obstetricians and gynaecologists (OBGYNs) in California.

eLovu Health provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) digital health platform that integrates with OBGYN clinics across the US, offering insights and access to comprehensive maternal care.

The eLovu platform combines various maternal health technologies and workflows into an end-to-end care solution.

It leverages patient feedback, longitudinal biometric signals, and partner and environmental data to generate clinical insights and detect emerging pathologies, such as preeclampsia, anxiety, and depression, earlier than traditional care models.

Artificial intelligence is used to provide personalised recommendations to mothers, guiding them from pre-pregnancy to post-pregnancy.

The platform is expected to address physician burnout and maternal health disparities.

In addition to the partnership with Caduceus Medical Group, eLovu Health has integrated with telemental health platform Brightside Health, and virtual maternity care provider Ruth Health.

Through the collaboration with Brightside Health, eLovu members can be referred for critical mental healthcare, addressing the high rates of maternal suicide.

Ruth Health will offer its Ask a Doula SMS service to the eLovu platform, extending access to doulas for enhanced birthing outcomes and eliminating the Pregnancy Tax.

The announcement of these partnerships comes at a time when maternal deaths in the US are increasing.

As per a CDC report, 1,205 women in the US died due to maternal causes in 2021. In 2020 and 2019, the number was 861 and 754, respectively.
