NorthStar Anesthesia has collaborated with the 138-bed UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook hospital, expanding further into the Chicagoland market in the US.

This partnership, set to commence on 19 April, helps the hospital's shift towards a team-based anaesthesia care model, enhancing the quality of patient care.

The care model will see collaboration between anaesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook CEO Kenneth Rose said: "We are excited to welcome NorthStar Anesthesia as our new partner.

NorthStar Anesthesia will retain incumbent physicians for the continuity of healthcare. Preserving institutional knowledge is also a part of the initiative.

Additionally, the appointment of a chief CRNA marks a step in establishing an anaesthesia team that patients and healthcare providers can depend on.
