China-based security-related engineering services company SU Group Holdings has secured its largest contract to date, valued at HK$88.5m ($11.3m).
The contract is for a major hospital expansion and upgrade project in Hong Kong, encompassing the delivery, design, and integration of a full range of security, monitoring, public address, and safety systems.
The technologies to be deployed include an IP-based public address system, access control systems, CCTV, alarm points, a video phone system, and a master clock system, among others.
Revenue from the project is anticipated to be registered in the fourth quarter of 2025.
This contract is expected to bolster SU Group's strategic focus on enhancing healthcare infrastructure and smart security solutions, particularly in densely populated urban areas.
SU Group chairman and CEO Dave Chan said: "This contract marks a significant milestone for SU Group, showcasing our growing reputation and capabilities in delivering high-value, mission-critical security engineering projects."
According to the company, the strategic advantages of this comprehensive system are claimed to be manifold. It prepares the hospital to handle increased patient capacity and introduces new service lines.
The system offers integration with IT and digital platforms and is expected to improve communication and compliance with fire safety, disability access, and healthcare regulations.
It also allows for future integration with emerging solutions such as IoT medical devices, AI-assisted monitoring, and remote diagnostics through various systems.
An IP-based public address system is a critical component, designed to quickly relay emergency alerts or important announcements across approximately 3,000 speakers covering 370,233m².
The communal aerial broadcast distribution (CABD) system will provide entertainment to patients and visitors while the integrated security management system (ISMS) is set to enhance security with around 3,500 access doors, 3,000 CCTV cameras, and 400 alarm points.
In addition, the video phone system will facilitate contactless interactions, and the master clock system will ensure precise timing for medical and operational procedures.
